Exoticca kicked off its 2026 Fall Fling series in Toronto on September 14, hosting 300 travel advisors at the Fairmont Royal York for its fourth annual event. The series marks the operator’s largest Canadian market push, with plans to visit seven cities across the country, Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Vancouver, each hosting 250 advisors for similar gatherings.
The event introduced a new awards program to recognize partners, including TRAVELSAVERS as Growth Partner of the Year (Consortia) and Expedia winning for both Growth Partner of the Year (Agency) and Top Producer (Agency). Other winners spanned categories like Breakthrough Agency Award, Legacy Excellence Award, and the Exoticca Trailblazer Award.
Mareike Pfennig, Exoticca’s Global VP of Growth, framed the event as a celebration of advisors who have supported the company since its launch. “We want to celebrate the advisors who grew up with us,” she said, emphasizing gratitude for both long-term partners and newer ones. The awards, she noted, reflect Exoticca’s commitment to recognizing excellence and achievement.
Juanjo Duran, Chief Product Officer, highlighted how the partnership has matured over four years. “Exoticca is no longer a question mark,” he stated. “We’re a leading brand, and we want to shout it out.” He added that the company now focuses on simplifying complex trips for advisors, allowing them to prioritize client relationships over operational hurdles.

Duran also pointed to recent product updates, including a new groups platform designed to streamline group travel bookings. The platform is backed by dedicated support staff, addressing a growing demand among advisors for easier group business management.
Exoticca’s approach contrasts with traditional tour operators by treating advisors as collaborators rather than clients. While competitors often push standardized packages, Exoticca’s model adapts offerings based on direct feedback from its partners. This hands-on relationship-building has positioned it as a dominant player in Canada’s B2B travel market, where Toronto remains its strongest hub.
The company’s Fall Fling events are structured to blend networking with product showcases, supplier trade displays, and recognition programs. Unlike industry conferences that focus solely on sales pitches, Exoticca’s events mix celebration with practical tools, such as the groups platform, to solve real advisor challenges.
